A bed guard is provided that fits all the single beds and bunk beds in case you have an you energetic sleeper with free fall ambitions.

If you want to keep them out in the fresh air, while you are getting ready to go, or just to park push chairs or bikes, there is an enclosed courtyard garden outside the backdoor with lockable gate access to West lane.

Aldeburgh is great for children, many families holiday in the town year after year. The local facilities include:
- 1 mile plus long beach of mainly shingle with some sand
- Boating pond fun just round the corner
- Cinema
- Ice Cream Shop opposite
- Tourist office opposite cottage with many idea's for children's activities in Aldeburgh and surrounding area
- Local walks and cycling on flat terrain suitable for children
- Pharmacy with baby/young children goods within 80 paces from front door.
- Famous fish and chip shop almost next door
